Would you please tell us a little about yourself and your business experience?
I am the Founder & CEO of Policy Star Insurance Solutions. My company was established with a mission to offer fair insurance solutions to families, individuals, and businesses in my community.
Before entering the world of insurance, I was a successful Celebrity Hair Stylist and Salon Owner. My prior profession allowed me to establish connections with people worldwide, giving me a deep understanding of individuals and business owners. I truly value my clients’ perspectives and pay close attention to detail to ensure that I provide the best possible solutions. I find business and entrepreneurship natural. As an entrepreneur, I acknowledge that taking risks is a fundamental aspect of the business world which is why I’m in the business of insurance those risks.

Please tell us one of your best success stories.
Success can be perceived and measured differently by each individual, often evolving as one’s business grows. Success to date is having the ability to open at the tail end of Covid-19 in Feb 2022. I was a part of the great resignation and hit the ground hard through continuous hard work, consistency, perseverance, and grit. My firm is considered a well-qualified insurance brokerage recognized by the City of Los Angeles Office of the City Administrative Officer (CAO) – Risk Management Group. We are a Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise, but above all, serving my community is my success story!
What is your top of being with the Polk Institute?
I can name a long list of benefits! For one, we can share our experiences as entrepreneurs, knowing we are not alone—the wealth of knowledge bestowed upon veterans in their field each week and, lastly, the refining. We are being molded to be the best as Social Entrepreneurs.
